Giovanni da Pian del Carpine in collaboration with the Mongol Bank has commenced several months ago.<\/p>\n<p>The subject of the banknote is to reintroduce and lighten the first ever Italian diplomatic mission in Mongol Empire. Back in 1245, when Pope Innocent IV sent his Ambassador, the Catholic Italian Religious Giovanni da Pian del Carpine, to the Mongol Empire to deliver his letter of peace. Giovanni presented the Papal letter to Guyuk Khan in 1246 and received his reply. Two years later, after his long trip to Italy, Pian del Carpine has presented his treatise \u201cHistoria Mongalorum\u201d, the most detailed document on the Mongol Empire and Mongols to the Western World.<\/p>\n<p>The historical moment of Giovanni da Pian del Carpine as presenting the letter of Pope to Great Guyuk Khan has been etched in the silver banknote.
