The inauguration was attended by the screenwriters of the film \u201c<em>There is Still Tomorrow\u201d<\/em><em>directed <\/em>\u00a0by Paola Cortellesi, namely Ms Giulia Calenda and Mr Furio Andreotti. The President of Mongolia-Italy Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, MP Undraa Agvaanluvsan also attended. During the ceremony, Hon. Undraa reaffirmed her country\u2019s commitment to the fight against gender-based violence and promoting equal opportunities. Italian Ambassador Giovanna Piccarreta highlighted recent legislative measures addressing femicide, as well as the outcomes of Italy\u2019s G7 Presidency regarding women\u2019s empowerment and the fight against gender-based violence.<\/p>\n<p>On 10 March, the Embassy also hosted a roundtable discussion at the Chinggis Khaan Museum Auditorium, titled <em>Empowerment through Time: The Road to Gender Equality<\/em>. The event was followed by the screening of Paola Cortellesi\u2019s movie <em>There is Still Tomorrow<\/em>, with the participation of the screenwriters Giulia Calenda and Furio Andreotti for the Q&amp;A.<\/p>\n<p>The event opened with remarks by the Ambassador of Italy and a presentation by the Head of the Secretariat of Mongolia\u2019s National Committee for Gender Equality, Ms. Enkhbayar Tumur-Ulzii. The discussion, moderated by professor Begz Ankhbayar, featured distinguished speakers, including the Director of the Asian Development Bank in Mongolia, Ms. Shannon Cowlin, the UNDP Representative in Ulaanbaatar, Ms. Matilda Dimovska, and the Head of the UNFPA Mongolia Office, Mr. Khalid Sharifi. MP Undraa Agvaanluvsan concluded the event by emphasizing the importance of sustained efforts to advance gender equality across all sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The screening of <em>There is Still Tomorrow<\/em> was followed by an engaging Q&amp;A session with the screenwriters, who provided insightful reflections on the creative process behind the movie.<\/p>\n<p>The Embassy of Italy extends its sincere appreciation to all participants and speakers for their valuable contributions and reaffirms its steadfast commitment to promoting gender equality and, in particular, to combating gender based violence, in close collaboration with its partners in Mongolia.
