From 9 to 15 February 2026, the Embassy of Italy in Mongolia has organized the first edition of Italian Week 2026, a city-wide initiative celebrating contemporary Italian culture and excellence, spanning from art to design, from fashion to music, food and lifestyle.<\/span><\/p>\n

The aim of the Italian Week 2026 is to promote Italian creativity and cultural dialogue through a programme of exhibitions, public events and city-wide initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n

The initiative brings together major cultural institutions alongside a network of official distributors and retailers of Italian products operating across the Mongolian Capital city, offering the public an opportunity to experience Italian culture both within museum spaces and throughout the urban fabric of Ulaanbaatar.<\/span><\/p>\n

City-wide participation: shops and distributors<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the week, participating shops and distributors join the Italian Week 2026 through in-store initiatives dedicated to Italian culture and products. These include curated selections, special promotions, tastings or other customer-focused initiatives, accompanied by the display of official event materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cultural programme<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The cultural programme of the Italian Week 2026 includes exhibitions hosted by key institutions in Ulaanbaatar.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the Zanabazar Museum of Fine Arts<\/b>, the exhibition \u201cWhen the Center Moves\u201d brings together contemporary artists Luca Buvoli, Pietro Ruffo and Bekhbaatar Enkhtur, marking the first time this Mongolian artist, trained and based in Italy, presents his work in Mongolia (curated by Ms Chiara Zampetti Egidi; Assistant Curator: Ms Darkhijav Jadambaa).<\/span><\/p>\n

At the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, L\u00b4Italia \u00e8 di moda\u2013 Note italiane explores Italian design and fashion through iconic works by leading Italian designers, from Valentino to Max Mara. The exhibition also features original lamps by iconic designer Gio\u2019 Ponti. Photographs provided by @Opera_Roma \u00a0show the costumes designed by Valentino for la Traviata in 2016. The documentary \u201cItalia e\u2019 moda\u201d is available through 3D visors placed in the exhibition space.<\/span><\/p>\n
