On 24 June, Italian Ambassador Giovanna Piccarreta met with Major General Ariunbuyan Gombojav, Head of the Emergency Management Agency, Mongolia’s national civil protection agency.
During the meeting, the Ambassador presented the initiative organised by the Italian Civil Protection Department, with the support of the MAECI, to strengthen national capacities in the implementation and management of resilient infrastructure, within the framework of the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, of which Italy and Mongolia are members. The project consists of the exchange of good practices and training activities in Italy, based on Mongolia’s priorities and needs. It will be implemented jointly with the CIMA Foundation and the EUCENTRE Foundation, laying the foundations for greater mutual understanding between the two civil protection systems and potential collaborations.
