Please note that FROM SUNDAY 25 MAY 2025, voters who have not yet received their postal voting pack for the repeal referendums on 8th and 9th June at their residential address may request a DUPLICATE from this Embassy.
The request for a duplicate may be submitted in person at the Consular Office or sent by post, by ordinary email to mongolia.consolare@esteri.it or by certified email to amb.ulaanbaatar@cert.esteri.it. The request, which can be drawn up using the form available here, must be accompanied by a valid identity document.
Voters requesting a duplicate of the electoral package must declare that they are aware of the criminal liability for double voting, as provided for in Article 18, paragraph 2, of Law 459/2001, according to which: ‘Anyone who, during parliamentary elections and referendums, votes both by post and at the polling station where they are last registered in Italy, or votes more than once by post, shall be punished with imprisonment for one to three years and a fine of between €52 and €258‘.
Once the necessary checks have been carried out, this Embassy will provide the interested parties with the necessary information for the issue of the duplicate. The duplicate may be sent to the applicant’s residential address (if there is sufficient time for the package to be received) or issued in person during the Consular Office’s opening hours, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Please note that this office, exclusively for the issuance of duplicate election packages, will also be open to the public on Saturday 31st May 2025 and Sunday 1st June 2025, from 10:00 to 15:00, by contacting the following number in advance: +976 95148678.
Finally, please note that pre-stamped envelopes containing the voted ballots must be received by this Embassy no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, 5th June 2025.
