Trade between Italy and Mongolia in the first four months of 2025 amounted to €42 million. Italian exports to Mongolia increased by 1.7%, placing Italy from 11th to 9th among Mongolia’s suppliers and resulting in a positive trade balance. Exports to Mongolia mainly consist of machinery, clothing, furniture and footwear*.
Italy ranks third as an importer of goods from Mongolia.
The main Mongolian products imported into Italy in the first four months of 2025 were: live animals and animal products, basic chemicals, fertilisers and nitrogen compounds, plastics, processed and preserved meat, and meat products*.
The Commercial Office of the Italian Embassy in Ulaanbaatar coordinates integrated promotion activities in Mongolia and assists Italian companies operating in or interested in developing commercial relationships with Mongolia.
