The Italian Ambassador to Mongolia and the Minister of Culture Nomin Chinbat met on 6 February, the day after the presentation of the Letters of Credence, to discuss the cultural relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, they exchanged on Mongolia’s participation in the 60th edition of the Venice Biennale, on the opening of two Mongolian cultural centers at the Universities of Florence and Parma, with the aim of promoting Mongolian tradition and culture in Italy and throughout Europe.
Ambassador Giovanna Piccarreta highlighted the priority attached to culture as a leverage to promote people-to-people exchange and bilateral relations in general, and expressed her intention to intensify the development of the collaboration between Italy and Mongolia in this area.
The implementation of the “Cultural Executive Program for the years 2022-2025” was also discussed.
