Ambassador Giovanna Piccarreta met with H.E. Mr. Bolorchuluun Khayangaa, Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry of Mongolia. During the meeting, the discussion focused on the main areas of mutual interest, including the sustainable production and processing of cashmere in Mongolia, being Italy the second-largest importer from Mongolia worldwide. Further areas of bilateral cooperation were touched upon, such as food, agriculture, leather processing and fiscal issues. The Intergovernmental Economic Commission between Italy and Mongolia was also mentioned.
The Italian Ambassador recalled the attention with which Italy is following the “dzud” emergency in Mongolia, and the support already provided by the Italian private sector to face this critical situation.
