Ambassador Giovanna Piccarreta visited the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association (MWCA) and the Italian-Mongolian Textile Technological Center. The meeting was attended by the Hon. Bat-Erdene Jadamba, member of Parliament and President of the MWCA, Mrs. Altantsetseg Duger, Executive Director of MWCA, Mr. Misheel Otgonugs, Executive Vice President of Gobi Cashmere JSC and Ms. Gantsetseg Choidon, Director of Khanbogd Cashmere LLC. The visit gave the opportunity to share the importance of the cashmere industry for cooperation between Italy and Mongolia, being Italy the second importer from the country. It was also agreed on the need to ensure the sustainability of the sector.
During the meeting, the Ambassador confirmed the full desire to contribute to the expansion of cooperation in this area.
