The Embassy of Italy in Ulaanbaatar wishes to inform that the first exhibition ever dedicated to Caravaggio in Mongolia – Whispers of light, restoration of a masterpiece – will be open to the public until June 30, 2024, at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum – with free admission. The original painting “Mary Magdalene in Ecstasy” is on show in the exhibition, supported by the Italian Embassy,
This event marks a significant moment in the Italian cultural diplomacy in Mongolia, encompassing areas such as music, visual arts, and cinematography, especially in light of the upcoming 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year.
The exhibition provides visitors with the opportunity to admire the original painting of Mary Magdalene in Ecstasy and to delve into the various phases of its restoration, a true Italian excellence.
At the opening event of the exhibition, Dr. Cinzia Pasquali was present, who oversaw the restoration of the painting, representing a true Italian excellence in this field.

- from June 1-30, 09:00 – 20:00
