On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Italian Republic, the Embassy of Italy in Ulaanbaatar welcomed in the Chinggis Khaan Museum members of the diplomatic corps, high level representatives of the Institutions and authorities of Mongolia, prominent representatives of the business, art and academic world, and Italian nationals residing in the country.
Guests were able to admire Caravaggio’s painting “Magdalene in Ecstasy” and to attend the opening of the exhibition by contemporary Italian artist Tarshito, “The Camp of the Wayfarers in Love in Mongolia,” featuring works created in collaboration with Mongolian artists. The event also featured a performance by the Concert Symphony Orchestra and the Mongolian State Conservatory, directed by Maestro Stefano Salvatori, from Teatro alla Scala in Milan, accompanied by the harpist from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, Ms. Giulia Bigioni.
