The Embassy of Italy in collaboration with the National Art Gallery of Mongolia and the Italian National Museum of XXI Century Arts – MAXXI, has organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth of Mongolia a Masterclass on “The importance of Curatorship in Art” in Ulaanbaatar on 3 October 2024.
The Masterclass has been delivered at the National Art Gallery of Mongolia by Mr. Francesco Stocchi, Artistic Director of MAXXI. The Masterclass focused on sharing expertise in curatorship, a relatively new profession in the contemporary art world, and exchanging experiences with the Mongolian art scene.
The Masterclass marks the importance Italy and Mongolia are placing on fostering bilateral ties, including in the field of culture and namely contemporary art. Mongolia has been participating in the last few years in the Art Biennale in Venice.
